Edisher Machaidze holds a Doctorate in Technical Sciences.
He is an academician of the Phazisi Academy of Sciences.
He is an Honored Worker of Education, Science, and Sport of the Republic of Buryatia.
From 1988 to 2016, he served as an international referee (categories 3, 2, 1, E, and Olympic – under FILA and UWW).
From 2014 to 2020, he worked as an instructor, supervisor, and education specialist at UWW.
Since 2015, he has been the Deputy Technical Delegate of the International University Sports Federation (FISU).
He is the Vice-President of the Wrestling Federation of Georgia.
He served as the Head of the Apparatus at the Parliamentary Committee for Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia.
He is an Associate Professor at the Georgian State Teaching University of Physical Education and Sport.
He is a member of the UWW European Council (Executive Commission) and the UWW Scientific Commission.
