Mariam Ubiria

Education

From 1982 to 1987, Mariam Ubiria studied at the Arkhangelsk State Medical Institute (Russia), specializing in dentistry.
From 1987 to 1990, she was a postgraduate student at the Department of Pathological Physiology at the same institute.
From 1995 to 2000, she studied German language at the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Tskhinvali State Pedagogical University.
In 2000, she was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences.

Work Experience

From 1987 to 1991, she worked as an assistant at the Department of Pathological Physiology at the Arkhangelsk State Medical Institute.
From 1992 to 2007, she served as a senior lecturer at the Department of Biology and Chemistry at Tskhinvali State Pedagogical University.
Since 2002, she has been an invited specialist at Gori State Teaching University, teaching in the Faculties of Education, Exact and Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences.
Since 2014, she has been an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the State University of Physical Education and Sport of Georgia.

Additional Information

She has published 35 papers in the field of medicine.
She is the author of the book “Women’s Reproductive Health” (2009).
She also authored the monograph: “Systemic and Pulmonary Hemodynamics in Health and in Respiratory Pathology in Northern Populations” (Arkhangelsk, 1999).
She received First Prize in the M.V. Lomonosov Scientific Competition (2000).
