Welcome,

As the Dean of the Faculty, I am proud that our Faculty is a part of the Georgian State University of Sport. A higher education institution with almost 90 years of history, rich academic traditions and a special contribution to the development of sports sciences. Building on this heritage, we continue to implement innovative, evidence-based and internationally recognized educational programs.

For six decades, our Faculty has been successfully implementing the rehabilitation direction. Initially, the program operated under the name of Therapeutic Physical Culture, and since 2014 it has been updated in accordance with modern academic standards and has been established as a bachelor’s program in “Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation”.

In 2024, a new and modern direction – “Fitness and Health” – was added to our educational portfolio, which further expands the academic and professional capabilities of the faculty and increases the diversity of educational and career paths offered to students.

Our mission is to train highly qualified specialists in the fields of physical medicine, rehabilitation, fitness and wellness, who will be able to make a significant contribution not only to the development of the healthcare system, but also to sports and public health. Rehabilitation in clinical and public spaces, including the use of modern strategies for functional recovery of athletes and sports rehabilitation, occupies a special place in the activities of the faculty.

Today, when the demand for rehabilitologists, fitness and health specialists is growing, our faculty offers a versatile academic environment. Here you will gain deep theoretical knowledge and, at the same time, invaluable practical experience in clinical, sports or public spaces.

We believe that higher education goes beyond acquiring basic competencies. Therefore, we offer our students participation in research projects, additional courses and diverse activities, which expand their professional vision and career opportunities.

I consider it important that our faculty is united by experienced, dedicated and innovation-oriented professors and teachers who daily care about the professional development of students and the full realization of their potential.
