Ketevan Kobalia graduated from the Faculty of Coaching of the Georgian State Academy of Physical Education and Sport in 1999.
She graduated from Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani State University, Faculty of Pedagogy (1997), with a specialty in Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education.
In 2014, she completed doctoral studies at the Faculty of Science and Arts of Ilia State University.
In 2015, she defended her dissertation “Model of Professionally Valuable Personal Traits of a Physical Education and Sport Teacher” and was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Education.
From 1997 to 2009, she worked as a tennis coach at the T. Kakulia Tennis Branch of the Main Center for Olympic Preparation of Tbilisi City Hall.
From 2006 to 2009, she worked as a physical education and sport teacher (School “OR-Avner”).
From 2010 to 2015, she worked as an expert in physical education and sport at the National Curriculum Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
Since 2015, she has been working as a physical education expert-consultant at the National Center for Teacher Professional Development (LEPL).
From 2015 to 2019, she was an Associate Professor at the State Teaching University of Physical Education and Sport of Georgia.
Since 2018, she has been the Head of the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology, and Sociology.
Since 2020, she has been a Professor at the State Teaching University of Physical Education and Sport of Georgia.
Since 2025 – Member of the World Director Board of the International Federation of Physical Education and Sport (FIEPS)
Since 2023 – World Ambassador of Physical Education and Sport (FIEPS, International Federation of Physical Education and Sport)
Since 2023 – Authorization Expert for General Educational Institutions (National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement)
2023–2025 – Member of the Sectoral Council for Higher Education (National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement)
Since 2022 – National Delegate of the International Federation of Physical Education and Sport (FIEPS) from Georgia
2021 (March 25) – Member of the Doctoral Council of the University of Alcalá (Madrid, Spain)
2018–2020 – Accreditation Expert for Higher Educational Programs (National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement)
Since 2018 – Head of the Teacher Education Program (Physical Education and Sport)
She has published around 20 scientific papers in local and international publishers.
She teaches the following courses: “Sport Pedagogy,” “Planning and Assessment of the Teaching Process,” “Pedagogical Ethics.”
