In 1986, she received a diploma as a teacher of music and singing from A. Pushkin Pedagogical Institute.
In 1998, she graduated from the International Institute “Tbilisi” with a degree in Finance and Credit.
In 1999, she obtained a Master’s degree in Tourism from the International School of Tourism Sciences in Rome, Italy.
She completed her studies at the Faculty of Economics of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU), and in 2002, she was awarded an academic degree of Doctor of Economics.

Work Experience
From 2000 to 2004, she served as Deputy Chairman of the State Department of Tourism and Resorts of Georgia.
From 2006 to 2009, she was an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Tourism at TSU.
From 2003 to 2006, she worked as a Lecturer at the Department of Commerce and Tourism Business at TSU.
From 2007 to 2009, she held the position of General Manager at the hotel complex “Bazaleti Lake.”
In 2009, she worked as an Advisor to the Minister at the Ministry of Economic Development of Georgia.
From 2009 to 2012, she was the Head of the International School of Tourism at TSU and taught as a Professor.
From 2011 to 2012, she was a Fulbright Scholar of the U.S. Department of State.
Since 2013, she has been invited to deliver lectures at the University of South Carolina (USA).
From 2012 to 2015, she was a Full Professor at TSU and Head of the Institute for Tourism Development.
From 2015 to 2016, she served as Advisor on Tourism to the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
From 2012 to 2017, she was an Accreditation Expert at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement.
From 2016 to 2017, she worked as a Consultant at the Entrepreneurship Development Agency.
From 2017 to 2020, she worked at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement as an Officer and later Head of the International Relations Department. She was also Georgia’s representative in the Bologna Follow-Up Group and a member of the Paris 2018 Ministerial Conference Organizing Committee.
Since 2020, she has been a Full Professor at the State University of Physical Education and Sport of Georgia.
She is the author of 42 scientific publications and several textbooks, including “Tourism Economics” and “Ten Steps Toward Sustainable Tourism Development in Georgia.”
She has authored 8 academic and 4 professional programs and has supervised 6 doctoral and 50 master’s theses.
She has experience participating in various grant projects, including being a Fulbright Scholar, author of a social project supported by Rotary Club, and participant in programs funded by TACIS and the Presidential Fund of Georgia.
She has taken part in professional development programs in Georgia, Europe, and the United States, including at the Prague Institute of Hotel Management, the University of South Carolina, and UNWTO programs.
She is a member of the Fulbright Association, UNWTO, Rotary Club, and other international organizations. She has been awarded honorary certificates from the Georgian Department of Tourism and UNWTO.
