In 2015, Mariam Papiashvili graduated from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
In 2017, she completed her Master’s studies with honors in Educational Psychology and Research at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the same university, earning the title of Master of Psychology.
In 2021, she also graduated with honors from the Faculty of Engineering Economics, Media Technologies, and Social Sciences at the Georgian Technical University and was awarded the title of Doctor of Social Sciences.
Since 2024, Mariam Papiashvili has been serving as the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Coaching at the Georgian State Teaching University of Physical Education and Sport (LEPL).
Since 2016, she has been a lecturer at the bachelor’s and master’s levels at the same university, and as of March 2022, she has held the position of Associate Professor in Sports Psychology.
From 2021 to 2024, she worked as the Academic Process Manager at the College of Physical Education and Sport (LEPL).
Since 2018, she has been a reviewer of school textbooks for the Ministry of Education, Science, and Sport of Georgia.
In 2017, she was awarded a Master’s Research Grant funded by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, and the same year, she participated in research projects conducted under the auspices of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
Since 2014, she has been a trainer for the Association of Young Psychologists and has served as Head of the Department of Educational Psychology within the same organization.
Between 2014 and 2017, she completed a government internship at the Educational Institution Resource Officers’ Office and was selected for a merit-based placement in the Research and Analysis Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
During this period, she also worked as a psychologist and administrative staff member at Public School No. 45 and St. Nicholas Georgian-British Private School.
Since 2014, she has also been a teacher of general and sports psychology at the LEPL Community College of Physical Education and Sport.
Mariam Papiashvili has published 12 scientific papers in the field of Sports Science in various international journals and local collections and has participated in academic conferences.
She holds certificates from Barça Innovation Hub courses in Psychological Interventions in Sport and Psychological Variables and Sporting Performance.
She received an Erasmus+ grant and took part in a teaching mobility visit at Lithuanian Sports University (LSU) in Kaunas, Lithuania, from April 3 to April 10, 2022.
