In 1993, Nino Dzagania graduated from the Faculty of Philology at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and earned the qualification of Teacher of Russian Language and Literature.
In 2020, she successfully completed her doctoral studies at the Georgian Technical University and was awarded a PhD in Social Sciences.
Nino Dzagania is a Doctor of Social Sciences and an Associate Professor at the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology, and Sociology of the LEPL Georgian State University of Physical Education and Sport. She has many years of experience in both the academic and media fields.
In 2020, based on an announced competition at the Georgian State University of Physical Education and Sport, she was appointed Associate Professor at the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology, and Sociology, where she lectures in Sociology of Sport.
Since 2024, she holds the position of Head of the Quality Assurance Service of the Faculty of Coaching.
Nino Dzagania’s professional career also includes work in the media field. From 2004 to 2006, she worked for the news program “Moambe” at the Georgian Public Broadcaster. From 2006 to 2008, she was a journalist and analyst at the news program “Mzera” on Mze TV. From 2010 to 2014, she worked as a producer and international analyst for the news program of Maestro TV. In 2012–2013, she was head of the Moscow bureau of the same TV company.
Nino Dzagania’s scientific interests are focused on gender issues in sports. She has published articles on this topic in international and local scientific journals and actively participates in international research projects and conferences.
