Teimuraz Gognadze

Education

From 1998 to 2002, studied at Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Economics, to receive a foundational education.
From 2003 to 2005, continued his studies at the master’s level in International Business.
In 2006, completed professional courses in Foreign Relations and International Marketing.
In 2010, participated in a European internship in Germany, where he studied modern methods of international tourism management.
In 2015, earned a diploma through additional certified courses in Project Management.

Work Experience

In 2002, began his career as a Marketing Assistant in a small tourism company.
In 2005, joined JSC “Georgian Tourism Association” as a Project Coordinator, where he led regional tourism campaigns.
In 2009, was appointed Head of the Marketing Department, responsible for promoting the country internationally and organizing participation in global conferences.
In 2013, joined the Tourism Development Department of the Ministry of Education of Georgia, where he led the implementation of strategic tourism development projects and coordinated partnerships with international stakeholders.
In 2018, began working as a Lead Consultant in the field of monitoring and updating the effectiveness of state programs.
Since 2021, has been leading several international tourism projects focused on strategic development and innovative marketing initiatives.
In 2019, began teaching at the State Teaching University of Physical Education and Sport of Georgia as an invited lecturer and, in 2023, was appointed as an Associate Professor.

Additional Information

Has hands-on experience collaborating on and implementing projects with the European Union, the United Nations, and other international organizations.
Has published several academic papers on tourism development and management, and has conducted seminars and training sessions for tourism professionals.
Actively participates in various professional associations and contributes to shaping future tourism policy.
Also serves as a guest expert at local and international conferences.
