In 2006, Vasil Liparteliani graduated from the Georgian State Academy of Physical Education and Sport.
In 2007, he completed a Master’s program in Sports Management at the National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine and continued his doctoral studies at the same university.
In 2012, he defended his dissertation on the topic: “The Role of External Communication Systems in the Management of Professional Football Clubs in Ukraine” and was awarded a Doctorate in Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
His first work experience was at the Tengiz Sulakvelidze Football Academy, where he worked for one year as a coach for children in the youth age group.
During his studies in Ukraine, he completed a 6-month internship at the Ministry of Family, Youth, and Sports of Ukraine, in the Women’s Sports Department.
Since 2013, he began working at the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia as a senior specialist in the Analytical Department. In 2015, he was promoted to Head of the Sports Research and Analysis Division in the same ministry.
Since 2013, he has been an Associate Professor at the State Teaching University of Physical Education and Sport of Georgia and the Head of the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Sports Management. He is also a member of the university’s Academic Council.
Since 2017, he has served as Head of the Department for the Development of Physical Education and Sport at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of Georgia.
